Marketing Content Project Manager

Rimini Street Inc, Contract
Nov 2018 – Mar 2022

  • Plan & execute all marketing projects, run kickoff meetings in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment with stakeholders, scope work, provide resource planning, run regular check-in meetings, provide both automated and tailored reporting, archiving and organization of projects and digital resources, gathering feedback and facilitating postmortems to gather lessons learned for important projects and campaigns.
  • Admin Project Management Systems, serve as administrator for numerous project management systems including Workforce, Smartsheet, and Asana. Building forms to automate requests, programming task automation and workflows, developing project templates, building reports, and standardizing processes/ data collection to create integrated reporting across not just the marketing teams but also legal, web dev, operations, and sales departments.
  • Managing Stakeholders, of course everyone is so busy! I’m there to help leadership, experts, and resources prioritize work, stay on track and make sure that expectations are clear. I’m able to communicate courteously and diplomatically to keep the mood positive and focused, even when deadlines are tight and the heat is on. Fostering a sense of teamwork, empowerment, and accountability is key.
  • Process Improvements, determine where there are breakdowns, bottlenecks and gaps in both high level and granular processes including marketing strategy, campaigns, production, archiving, reporting and marketing automation processes in order to develop and implement strategies for overcoming them. Train and support colleagues during process changes, set expectations and enforce the adoption of updated processes & systems.
  • Analytics and Reporting, determining appropriate KPIs, making sure to gather the pertinent data across projects, production, web (Google Analytics), lead gen (Marketo & Salesforce) to develop reports, determine workloads, perform resource management, create clear SLAs for the various types of deliverables and generate easy to use real-time reports for stakeholders to be able to determine the status of ongoing projects (Smartsheet) as well as the performance of assets being used on the web, in the field, and through to sales (Highspot).
  • Inventory Management & Content Auditing, collecting and storing the right information in order to keep asset libraries accessible and easy to search for designers, writers, strategists, campaign managers, and sales teams. Keeping clear historical records in place to maintain legal protocol compliance, help designers find the source material to stay on brand (Brandfolder), and help campaigns keep track of CRM data associated with specific assets and campaigns. I developed auditing protocols to make sure that all existing assets remained within legal compliance and that any outdated language or clients were kept track of in case copy changes were necessary. I made sure that all campaign, field, and sales teams were informed of asset updates or retirements.
  • Project Management Software Implementation, over the course of close to four years I saw the company through two complete project management software shifts; from Workfront to Smartsheet and from Smartsheet to Asana. This involved rigorous research, creating value propositions for the changes, and understanding/planning for both the benefits and limitations of each. Planning the transitions involved careful and coordinated data migration, testing the new systems, training coworkers, establishing new processes that would be able to scale, and them executing the ramp up to work at scale when it was time to launch.
  • Cross-functional Assistance, while not the focus of my expertise, I was often able to step in an assist other teams when resources were limited. My knowledge of web analytics and programming allowed me to assist the web team, my fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and video editing made it possible to step in and take care of minor creative edits or pick up slack when design teams were slammed. My first-hand knowledge of SEO and digital advertising allowed me to reasonably perform minor copy editing and quality assurance
